We will endeavour to reply to queries as soon as possible, however it may take up to 48 hours to reply to some emails depending on the type of query. Where emails are directed to teaching staff, this may take longer than 48 hours due to teaching commitments.


Privacy Notice - General Data Protection Regulations 2018

We Burton Borough School are a data controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulations. We collect personal information from you and may receive information about you from your previous school and the Learning Records Service, in order to meet our statutory requirements and under article 6(1) (e), article 6(1) (c) and article 9(2) (g) of the General Data Protection Regulations 2018. We hold this personal data to:

  • Support your teaching and learning;
  • Monitor and report on your progress;
  • Provide appropriate pastoral care, and
  • Assess how well your school is doing.

Burton Borough School will not share any of your personal data collected with external organisations unless required to do so by law. However, there may be occasions where we request further information from key third party organisations such as Health or Provider organisations.
