This is a tremendous time to be at Burton Borough School. In June 2015 we opened our new £8 million building, providing us with tremendous opportunities to transform learning. However our school is not about a building, it is about a community: a community of young people and the adults that work alongside them to support their learning and their personal development. Developing happy and fulfilled young people is what matters most to us.
Once again, we were very pleased with our GCSE results in 2015. Due to the numerous changes made by the Government, results cannot be compared with previous years. At Burton Borough 63% of students left with 5 A*- C (including English and Maths). Once again this is well above the national average.
However, we are not ‘an exam factory’ at Burton Borough; we truly believe that it is not only what you learn that matters but the person you become as a result of that learning.
